What is expected of Volunteers
Volunteers are primarily expected to show up on time wear the elf shirts and hats and work until the end of the race. Volunteers are to have as much fun while they do this. Everyone loves a jolly elf. Most jobs are easy. They range from aid stations to course turners to help racers stay on course.
We want families to be able to run this race so we made it so kids 8 and under can run for free with a paid adult. Also though the Santa Suits are a felt material and mainly designed for one use, we had our manufacture upgrade the material in 2016 to a higher grade of felt. Most will get the new suits.Read more
Our Milk and Cookie aid stations are around every 1/3 of a mile on the course. Though the stations are more to liven up the fun and run out quickly on the course, we have loads more at the finish that rarely run out. We do not want sick Santa's running the race, so we also provide loads of water that never runs out. The finish also has Hot Chocolate and more!!!
At the start of each race we warm up our Santa Clauses with HO HO HO Jumping Jacks and Boots, Belly Beard and Hat. During the race we try to have Christmas Music throughout. The Ogden Santa Run has it on every inch of the race.
